Case study · WordPress website with class booking and sign-ups
The METRUM Dance and Fitness Academy has been running in Poznań since 1997. The new website had to turn scattered information about groups, auditions, competitions and camps into one site that recruits participants by itself. I designed the information architecture and a custom WordPress theme, and connected the site to an online booking system: timetable, place limits, waiting list, payments and a parent panel.
About the project
Metrum Poznań runs dance and fitness classes for children, teenagers and adults, competition teams, its own “Zachodnie Zderzenie” dance championship and a national rhythmic gymnastics tournament. The previous website could not keep up with that scale: the timetable, auditions, camps and news lived in different places, and parents phoned to ask about free places.
Instead of building a booking system from scratch, I proposed WordPress CMS with a custom theme and an integration with a professional class booking system. The website is responsible for winning the customer and leading them to the sign-up; the booking system handles the timetable, limits, payments and participant management. The client got a solution that was faster and cheaper to implement and that they maintain on their own.
Website features
A timetable of all groups in one place, sign-ups embedded on the site and a hand-over to the booking system with place limits, a waiting list and online payment.
Separate paths for supplementary auditions to competition teams and for camps and workshops, with forms and a clear call to action.
Offer pages for children, teenagers, adults and private lessons, designed around the path from the first visit to the sign-up.
Pages for the “Zachodnie Zderzenie” championship and the rhythmic gymnastics tournament, an event calendar and news managed from the CMS.
A staff section, customer reviews and achievements that build parents’ trust before the first contact.
A gallery from shows and competitions, optimised for fast loading on phones.
Most parents visit from a phone, so the mobile views were designed alongside the desktop: menu, class cards, forms and sign-up buttons within thumb reach.
GA4, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, TikTok and Google Maps configured for recruitment campaigns and sign-up measurement.
Scope of work
Review of the existing site, structure of the new one, wireframes of key pages, user paths focused on winning new customers, and a custom design of the home page, offer pages and mobile views.
CMS installation and configuration, custom theme, security, backups, production environment. Home page, offer pages, instructors, forms, gallery, blog / news, event calendar.
Embedded timetable and sign-ups, hand-over to the booking system, class group configuration. GA4, GTM, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Google Maps integrations.
Clean URLs, sitemap, meta tags, schema.org, performance optimisation, Google tools. Functional, mobile and performance tests, CMS training, publication.

Challenges
The biggest challenge was the scale of the offer: dozens of groups and teams, four age groups, auditions, camps and two in-house competitions. A parent has to find the right class in seconds, check free places and sign the child up, and the school cannot police limits and waiting lists by hand.
That is why the site guides the user along a path: age group, specific class, timetable, sign-up. Bookings, payments and limits are handled by the external system the site is integrated with, while content, news, the calendar and the gallery are run by the school itself in WordPress after a short training. New auditions and camps go live in minutes, with no developer involved.
I will build a WordPress website that recruits participants and connects to a booking system, payments and a calendar. From analysis and design, through implementation, to SEO, analytics and CMS training.
